Vanes­sa Fox, cre­ator of Google Web­mas­ter Cen­tral, came to Atlanta last week to speak to a group of Inter­net mar­keters about how busi­ness­es need to focus on get­ting web mar­ket­ing synched up with their tra­di­tion­al mar­ket­ing efforts. Vanes­sa walked through sev­er­al recent exam­ples of tra­di­tion­al adver­tis­ing dur­ing the Super Bowl, all met with under­whelm­ing search tac­tics and missed oppor­tu­ni­ties. Joshua Palau of Razor­fish was also present to talk about get­ting SEO and Paid Search efforts work­ing togeth­er, not­ing that “Search is search.” Sim­ple, but we couldn’t agree more.
