Meet Search Discovery: President Mike Gustafson

Professionally speaking, Mike Gustafson is an experienced businessman who has spearheaded Search Discovery’s growth over the past 3+ years. But when he’s not in the office, Mike is a family man, traveller, and aspiring quail hunter. Read on to learn more about what Mike values most in life.

Where are you from?

I was born in Erie, PA, but have lived in Cleveland and Atlanta for a large part of my life.

What do you do in your spare time?

I like to spend time with my wife and four kids, read, golf and coach basketball. I also recently started quail hunting.

What is the most memorable trip you’ve been on?

I have been fortunate to go on quite a few memorable trips. The most recent one was to Mumbai and Delhi, India for a good friend’s wedding.

What’s your favorite spot in Atlanta (or Georgia in general)?

Right now, I love going to the North Georgia mountains. It is beautiful.

What’s your proudest moment?

This is a very difficult question to answer. I am grateful to have many. Most of them come when I see my kids fight through a challenge, a problem or a setback and figure out how to solve the problem or get back up and try something again.

Do you have any pets?

I have a 1 year old German Shorthaired Pointer named Ender. He is full of energy and is so far a great family dog and decent hunting companion.

What’s your favorite part about working at Search Discovery?

I love having the chance everyday to work with people who share a common set of values and are truly committed to helping each other achieve their best. It is very gratifying to be able to serve on a team and work hard to create an environment and a culture where incredible work is being done to make a difference for our clients’ businesses.
