On March 10, 2016, Atlanta’s best mar­keters, cor­po­ra­tions and agen­cies came togeth­er at the Fox The­ater to rec­og­nize strate­gic inno­va­tions and excel­lence in 25 cat­e­gories at the 59th annu­al Atlanta Mar­keter of the Year (AMY) Awards, host­ed by the Atlanta chap­ter of the Amer­i­can Mar­ket­ing Asso­ci­a­tion (AMA).

Search Dis­cov­ery is hon­ored to be award­ed two AMY Awards this year, both in the Mar­ket­ing Ana­lyt­ics cat­e­go­ry. These wins sig­ni­fy our agency focus on ana­lyt­ics excel­lence in terms of ana­lyt­ics exe­cu­tion and appli­ca­tion for clients.

One win was for Ana­lyt­ics Appli­ca­tion, where Search Dis­cov­ery and the Amer­i­can Can­cer Soci­ety used user scores to iden­ti­fy opti­miza­tion oppor­tu­ni­ties on cancer.org. Search Dis­cov­ery cre­at­ed a solu­tion to fil­ter users into one or more of the three iden­ti­fied seg­ments as they accom­plish each con­ver­sion event, and mon­i­tor each user’s jour­ney as they return to the site across mul­ti­ple ses­sions. The new user-scor­ing met­rics also allowed ACS’s ana­lysts to iden­ti­fy behav­ior changes in each seg­ment that would oth­er­wise have gone unno­ticed when view­ing the full data set.

The sec­ond tro­phy was award­ed for our work with Apart­ment Find­er and imple­ment­ing per­for­mance dash­boards with an indus­try lead­ing data visu­al­iza­tion tech­nol­o­gy to sup­port team deci­sions around bud­get allo­ca­tion across media chan­nels, bud­get pac­ing across 160+ local metro areas as well as per­for­mance views to guide opti­miza­tion strate­gies.
