Analytics Manager

I was raised in Maryland by two wonderful loving parents and an older brother. I am extremely grateful for them and would not be who I am today without their support, guidance, and ability to put up with me—even through the teen angst Avril Lavigne years. I went to an honors college in southern Maryland called St. Mary’s College of Maryland. At school, I received a degree in Psychology and Philosophy and spent most of my free time playing rugby. From there, I packed up and moved to California in pursuit of being a stunt double. After having multiple odd jobs I got an offer for a marketing job back in New York. It was there that I started my now 6-year venture in marketing, advertising, and analytics. Being in New York and in the analytics world has brought me all kinds of life-changing opportunities, from this current job at Search Discovery to meeting my fiancé Casey….all of which I am extremely grateful for.

What was the last experience you had that made you a stronger person?

Proposing. At that moment I became stronger because my life was no longer just mine—I was part of a committed team that I can’t imagine a life without.

If you could be any fictional character, who would you choose?

I would be Bugs Bunny. He is calm in compromising situations. He is clever. And he cares about his friends and enemies. Plus, I like a good carrot.

Where is the best place you’ve traveled to and why?
I am extremely fortunate that I’ve had the opportunity to do Semester at Sea. This study abroad program allowed me to travel around the world to 7 different countries. That travel experience was the best.
What three traits define you?
Charismatic, Motivated, and Personable.
What is something that you recently learned?
I have been fortunate to have had some difficult times with clients. I say fortunate because it’s forced me to adapt and increase my ability to take criticism. Then I can turn that criticism into a learning experience both personally and professionally.
What is an important/cool trend you see in our industry today?
Companies are becoming more and more open to innovation. We work with a lot of big name companies who are not always the ones leading the charge in data and innovation. We’re seeing more and more companies having to grow with the times and be more nimble. Through this, the adaptation to innovation has taken a big turn in the market.
What 3 words would you use to describe Search Discovery?

Supportive, Opportunity-Rich, and Innovative.

Our purpose is to help people thrive. Describe a transformation you’ve experienced in your time at SDI?
Working at Search Discovery has given me the opportunity to work with so many brilliant people. Having worked with some of the top people in the industry (across tech, data science, optimization, etc), has allowed me to expand my knowledge to so many new fields of work that I wasn’t previously exposed to.
What’s your favorite thing about working at Search Discovery?
The support. Since the day I started working, there has been unconditional support for me in my job and the work I do, but also in my growth as a person. They continue to push me to be my best self and explore new opportunities. They provide the tools needed to succeed and the space needed to explore.
