Amer Sports, owner of outdoor lifestyle brands including Salomon, Wilson, and Arc’teryx, utilized a combination of PowerPoint and Excel documents to communicate reporting to key stakeholders. Each brand was required to submit monthly performance data , which would then be combined, cleansed, and created as a PowerPoint presentation for management. By the time leaders at Amer Sports reviewed the information,  it was nearly two months old, and any decisions being made on the data were uncertain.

New data sources continued to cause discrepancies in reporting and doubts in the end-users.

Search Discovery introduced Domo as a solution to help manage the Amer Sports data and deliver insights to key decision-makers more quickly. A single platform with the ability to connect, transform, visualize, and share data in cloud was exactly what Amer Sports needed to enhance visibility into the business.

We established governance and security protocols to create row-level data permissions that would allow all users to access the same datasets but only view the data pertinent to their brand/region. This created a self-service data reporting ecosystem.
