One of the nation’s top building materials retailers began creating Domo reports so regional sales managers could work with their distributors to review the sales pipeline, new opportunities, and progress against targets.
The data refreshed from a database every Monday morning for each of the 24 territory managers and was separated into individual Domo pages. Links were emailed to each manager. Managers were reluctant to adopt this new technology as they preferred Excel and the ability to manipulate the data in that platform.
Search Discovery developed a custom solution, since Domo does not have the out-of-the-box ability to deliver custom-formatted Excel reports to Domo users with personalized data permissions (PDP).
We developed Carter Lumber’s custom application in 8-weeks to work in conjunction with Domo and Excel to deliver reporting in the format needed for sales managers. This application also allowed for the extensibility for future Excel templates to be added if the data were to change.
Domo and Search Discovery enabled Carter Lumber to deliver custom-formatted Excel reports to field sales managers on a daily schedule from Domo.
