Search Discovery Ranks Among Highest-Scoring Businesses On The Inc. Best Workplaces List For Third Year Running

May 16, 2022

ATLANTA - May 16, 2022 For the third year in a row, Search Discovery has been named to Inc. magazine’s annual Best Workplaces list. Featured in the May/June 2022 issue, the list is the result of a comprehensive measurement of American companies that have excelled in creating exceptional workplaces and company culture, whether operating in a physical or virtual capacity.

“In a tremendous growth year for us, we couldn’t be more pleased with our incredible team and the culture we’ve built that’s led to us winning this honor three years straight,” says Andy Smelser, head of People Services at Search Discovery. “As we add positions across the company for everyone from recent college graduates to senior-level subject-matter experts, we will continue to focus on building the capacity of our clients and helping one another thrive while embodying our Core Values.”

After collecting data from thousands of submissions, Inc. selected 475 honorees this year. Each company that was nominated took part in an employee survey, which included topics such as management effectiveness, perks, fostering employee growth, and overall company culture. The organizations’ benefits were also audited to determine overall scoring and ranking.

Two items stood out in the Search Discovery surveys. Over 86% of team members saw professional growth and career development opportunities within the organization, and the majority of respondents agree that “collaborative” is the best word to describe the work environment at Search Discovery.

Employees were invited to provide optional responses to several open-ended questions during the survey, and Search Discovery team members shared 293 comments. One anonymous respondent said, “Search Discovery is unlike any company I’ve worked for in the way that it creates an open, supportive culture that embraces the full individual that you are and everything you bring to the company—not just your skills as an employee from 9-5 pm. I think the culture here is unparalleled and has a magic ingredient that other companies will find hard to replicate. Not only that, I think it’s impressive that the company has continued to preserve this unique culture as it’s grown so rapidly. The people and the culture make this an amazing place to work and somewhere I would find challenging to leave.”

“Not long ago, the term ‘best workplace’ would have conjured up images of open-office designs with stocked snack fridges,” says Inc. editor-in-chief Scott Omelianuk. “Yet given this widespread adoption of remote work, the concept of the workplace has shifted. This year, Inc. has recognized the organizations dedicated to redefining and enriching the workplace in the face of the pandemic.”
